Becker DPS-2 Series

Description:

The Becker DPS-2 Series Non-Bleed Pressure Sensors shutoff bleed gas from balanced seat double acting instrumentation when the control valve is in the full open and/or full closed position. Monitor regulators and standby regulators are typically equipped with Non Bleed Sensors in order to reduce bleed gas emissions. For zero bleed at both full open and full closed position, two (2) DPS-2 Non-bleed Sensors are required.

The DPS-2 is the secondary choice for Non-Bleed technology and should be used be utilized only in applications where the NBV will not function such as when the primary control instrumentation must discharge to high pressure systems. Pdischarge>60 psig.

Benefits:
  • DPS-2 Non-Bleed Sensors minimize atmospheric emissions by eliminating bleed gas when the control valve is in a full open and/or full closed position.
  • Simple construction for years of maintenance free operation

  • Can be easily retrofit to existing control applications1

  • Comes factory adjusted

Compatibility:

DPS-2 Non-Bleed Sensors are compatible with the following Becker double acting instrumentation:

  • VRP-B Model Pilots
  • HPP-3 Model Positioners
  • HPP-3E Model Positioners

Note that Becker single-acting instrumentation do NOT utilize Non-Bleed Sensors.

Features:

  • Rugged anodized aircraft aluminum and stainless steel construction provides ultimate reliability and accuracy without affecting normal operation of control instrumentation

  • Setpoint can be set up anywhere within the control range of the unit. Six control springs are available for varying control ranges.

  • Supply pressure up to 600 psig

  • Stainless steel option available

Usage:

  • DPS-2 Non-Bleed Sensors are typically used when double-acting control valves remain in a full open and/or full closed position such as monitor or standby regulators.
  • DPS-2 Sensors are utilized when the following conditions exist:
    • Psupply > 150 psig
    • Psupply < 75 psig
    • Pdischarge > 60 psig
  • Becker single-acting equipment do NOT utilize Non-Bleed Sensors
